The course is first to provide an overview and aspects of the ecosystem, the ecosystem’s sources and causes of pollution. Secondly, is to provide an overview and understanding of the basic aspects and the use of biotechnology to overcome some rising issues related to Human needs and welfare, and to cover areas of interest in using plant biotechnology, including transgenic and natural plants, in applications for health, food, agriculture, environment, and species conservation.
