This course reviews the environmental impact of nuclear energy including all the steps of the nuclear fuel cycle starting from Uranium mining, including NPP operation and ends with radioactive waste disposal. Other considerations like decommissioning as well as siting of NPP are also discussed.
The course does not aim at discrediting other energies relative to nuclear energy BUT to put the environmental impact of nuclear energy in the right perspectives vs. other energy sources.
